This week, in partnership with the Environment Agency and the Fynn and Lark Fishing Club, the ESRT completed the repair of 14 existing flow deflectors and a brushwood mattress.
The work party consisting of EA staff, angling club members and ESRT staff were all keen on making a real difference in providing habitat for local wild brown trout populations by repairing the structures installed several years ago.
The flow deflectors and brushwood mattress structures will help protect against bank erosion and can also create cover for small fish wishing to tuck into the margins away from potential predators.
