Become a Trustee at the Essex and Suffolk Rivers Trust!

Are you passionate about protecting and enhancing our rivers? The Essex and Suffolk Rivers Trust is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic trustees to join our board.

There is a lot happening in our rivers, estuaries and wetlands and they need our support more than ever at a time when pressures from climate change and pollution are taking their toll.


As a trustee, you will play a vital role in guiding our efforts to conserve and improve the health of rivers across Essex and Suffolk. You'll work alongside a team of like-minded individuals, bringing your expertise and fresh perspectives to help shape our strategies and ensure our projects make a lasting impact.

Our work varies from concentrated small-scale projects to large landscape plans and everything in between. Some of our recent work has involved:

 

 


 


  • Control of invasive non-native species such as Himalayan Balsam



What We’re Looking For:


  • A commitment to our mission and values.

  • Skills and experience in areas such as water and wastewater management, aquatic conservation, human resources or fundraising

  • The ability to contribute to strategic planning and oversight.


Experience in the charity sector is beneficial but not essential. We value passion, dedication, and a willingness to contribute your time and expertise.

Phone interviews will be held during the week commencing 9th September with successful applicants being invited for in-person interviews from the week commencing the 23rd September.
