Braintree District Council and Friends of Hoppit Mead Local Nature Reserve are looking for volunteers to help with removing the non-native invasive plant species, Himalayan Balsam. This is important work to prevent this plant dominating and out competing our native plant species.
Help is needed on the 3rd (Saturday) and 4th (Sunday) June 2017 at Hoppit Mead Local Nature Reserve. If you would like to help, please meet at the Marshalls Park Car Park by 10am. You will be made very welcome and any help would be greatly appreciate. Children are welcome if accompanied by a suitable adult guardian.
